SWIFTIES Spotlight
Jerome Chua, Computer Science
SWIFT – Advance

“SWIFT puts you in a position where you can make you learn. I can directly apply what I learnt through my studies into the role I am partaking as part of SWIFT”
Yi Wern, School of Computing
SWIFT – Grand Master

“Through my involvement with SWIFT, I’ve gained valuable hands-on experience in UI design, enhanced my portfolio with real-world projects, and improved my collaboration skills by working with teams on the University Admission System and NUS Giving. Aside from working on UI/UX design in Figma, I also had the opportunity to code a frontend library using Angular, which broadened my technical skills and understanding of frontend development. A significant positive outcome was the guidance and support I received from Gabriel, a UX Research Lead in NUS IT.”
Nicole Lim, Communications and New Media
Intern turns SWIFT

“I appreciate the flexibility, anything non-remote is also still in school so it is still convenient – e.g. could come to office weekly before classes to clarify some information at work. I enjoys the aspect that I am paid hourly rather than per project”
Bhavya, College of Design and Engineering
SWIFT – Grand Master

“Being part of the SWIFT program over the past few months has been an amazing experience. It’s given me the flexibility to work on projects while balancing my studies at NUS. I’ve been able to develop my skills and explore new technologies along the way. The best part has been the opportunity to connect with like-minded people, which has been incredibly motivating. SWIFT has definitely helped me grow both professionally and personally”
