Services Not Supported by IT Care

IT Care is dedicated to supporting your IT needs within our service scope. The following activities are outside our service scope:

Software Assistance

  • Assistance with use of features and functions of software applications
  • Linux operating systems or Linux-related problems

Device Support

  • Hardware swap/upgrade
  • Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PC connected or integrated with lab equipment, PC integrated with equipment and non-end-user devices including audio-visual (AV) systems, CCTV etc. 
  • Reporting of lost or misplaced devices to the appropriate authorities
  • Data backup, secure wiping, or physical destruction of storage devices
  • Replacement, purchase, or management of lifecycle of end-user devices
  • Assembly, modification, movement, setup, disposal or asset management of IT equipment
  • Large-scale upgrades or migrations of systems, including deployment of specialized software


Non-IT Support

  • Administrative tasks for onboarding or offboarding staff
  • Proctoring or event support (e.g., exams, seminars)
  • Support for logistic or administrative tasks

Too many folders in Outlook?

When you have many email folders in Outlook, you can prioritize the important ones for quicker access, by right-clicking the folders and choose “Show in Favorites”. They will now be more handy under “Favorites” at top of the Navigation Pane!

Got a big monitor screen?

You can multi-task between different apps in the same view on Windows 11, by dragging the window of the apps to the left or right boundary of the screen, or any of its four corners. The windows will be auto-fix and tiled against each other.

Saved the wrong file in Dropbox?

You can restore a previous version, by right-clicking the file in your Dropbox Portal and choose “More” > “Version history” – all other versions of the file will still be saved in Dropbox. Click “Restore” to get back your previous version.

If you have a service request form or knowledge article that you always use in A.S.K., simply open the form or article, mark it as “Favorite” and it will appear at the your A.S.K. main page so that you can access it with just one click.
