1. What is included in the Office 365 ProPlus license?

3. What specific applications are included in Office 365 ProPlus?

The suite will include the following software:

Word 2013 / 2016

PowerPoint 2013 / 2016

OneNote 2013 / 2016

Access 2013 / 2016

Publisher 2013 / 2016

Outlook 2013 / 2016

4. I have a Mac; can I install the Office 365 ProPlus suite?

Yes, but the Office 365 ProPlus suite will differ from the Windows versions and its name is Office for Mac

This suite includes:

Word 2016

Excel 2016

PowerPoint 2016

Outlook 2016

OneNote 2016

5. On how many devices I can install my copy of Office 365 ProPlus?

You can install Office 365 ProPlus on 5 “desktop” devices, these will include Windows PC or Mac OS X.

If you reach the maximum number of allowed installations, your subscription will continue to work but you need to first deactivate one of the 5 existing installation. You can manage them in your personal page connecting to https://portal.office.com then section Software – Office

You can also install Office 365 ProPlus on 5 “tablet” devices and 5 “smartphones”.

6. How long will the free Office 365 ProPlus subscription last for?

You will be licensed for the duration of your employment or your course(s).

7. What happens to my license when I leave the University?

When you cease to be a member of NUS staff or a registered student then your Office ProPlus license will expire and you will not be able to use the software. This will not happen immediately; you will be warned that the software needs to be licensed after which it will operate in reduced functionality mode and will eventually stop working.

8. Is this a full version Office?

Yes, this is full Office on the PC, Mac, iPad/iPhone, and Android platform and all are available for offline use.

9. I've downloaded the software but it's asking for a product key/sign in?

There should be an option to “Sign in to an existing Office 365 subscription”. Choose this option and then enter your NUS ID and Password.

10. How to deactivate an Office 365 ProPlus installation?

  1. Login to Office 365
  2. Click on “settings”
  3. Choose “Office 365”
  4. Choose “Software”. Install Status
  5. Click “Deactivate” under the name of the computer or mobile device that has the install you want to remove.

11. How to deactivate an Office 365 ProPlus installation?

a. Android phone –
Office Mobile for Android, requires an Android phone running Android OS 4.0 or later.
b. Android tablet –
Office for Android tablet can be installed on tablets running Android KitKat 4.4 or later with a minimum screen size of 7 inches and an ARM-based or Intel(x86) processor.
c. iOS device –
Office for iPad requires iOS 7.0 or higher and Office for iPhone can be installed on phones running iOS 6.0 or later.
d. Mac –
Office for Mac can be installed on Mac OS X 10.6 or later.
e. Windows PC –
Office for PC can be installed on Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10

12. What browsers are supported for Office 365 ProPlus application?

Compatible with Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Safari. For an optimal user experience, we recommend to run Office from Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer 11 browsers.

13. Do I need an Internet connection for running the Office 365 ProPlus suite?

No, you can use office without an internet connection. But must connect to Internet at least once in 30 days for the Office 365 license verification process. If you don’t connect, the Office will turn into” Reduced Functionality Mode”. Reconnecting to Internet will restore the full product features.
