SFB Telephony - Services and Charges

SFB Telephony services can be requested by department coordinators through BOSS system.


The following are several changes in BOSS catalogue with effect from Feb-2023:

  1. The following items for new staff are no longer offered in the BOSS catalogue:
    (a) The package UC-PKG-STAFF-HEADSET, which is a bundle of two services, UC-H-JABRAEVOLVE40 (New Staff Headset) and UC-P-SFB (SFB with DID Number)
    (b) The service UC-H-JABRAEVOLVE40 (New Staff Headset).
  2. For new staff who requires new SFB subscription with DID number, request for the catalogue item UC-P-SFB (SFB with DID Number) in the BOSS catalogue. The headset can be purchased in SESAMi system. It is no longer required to register new headset purchase in BOSS system.
  3. Purchase of hard phone is currently on hold.

Note: An administrative charge of 8% will be levied on the service costs for all services in BOSS.

UC-H-VVX501 Polycom VVX501 Phone for Boss or Secretary with onsite installation 51.00 Department could purchase hard phone for boss/secretary delegation use with existing SFB line. Submit this to configure boss/secretary delegation with an existing SFB DID line, with onsite installation.
UC-H-VVX411 Polycom VVX411 Phone for staff or facility use without onsite installation 5.00 Department could purchase hard phone for their staff use or as facility phone with existing line. Submit this to tie to an existing SFB DID line, without onsite installation.
UC-H-VVX411-STF Polycom VVX411 Phone for staff use with onsite installation 36.00 Department could purchase hard phone for their staff with existing line. Submit this to tie to an existing SFB DID line, with onsite installation.
UC-H-VVX411-COM Polycom VVX411 Phone for facility use with onsite installation 71.00 Department could purchase additional hard phone for existing facility phone line. Submit this to tie to an existing SFB DID line, with onsite installation.
UC-S-REASSIGNUSER Assign DID number to another user within the same department 5.00 For department to reassign a DID number to another user within the same department, due to staff leave or change.
UC-S-TERMINATION Termination of SFB Service and Return DID Number 5.00 If a DID line is no longer required, department could submit this request to terminate the service. Headset or hard phone are department asset and shall be kept for reuse.
UC-S-DISPLAYNAME Change the display name of facility phone 5.00 For department to change facility phone display name. Not applicable for staff phone.
UC-S-UNASSIGNUSER Un-assign User from DID Number (Line still under department) 5.00 If a staff leaves NUS but the details of new staff are not confirmed, department could keep the line, and submit this request to get campus directory and address book updated.
UC-S-VOICEMAIL De-Activate Voice Mail 5.00 Terminate an existing user or line’s voice mail.
UC-S-REPFPHONE Applicable for fault phone (headset and hard phone) replacement from the vendor For department to submit a request to replace a faulty headset or hard phone under warranty period.
OTH-MISC Miscellaneous Requests For department to raise miscellaneous requests such as change of WBS No., transfer of DID line to another department etc.
