We are pleased to share that that our Chief Information Technology Officer, Ms Tan Shui-Min, was one of three distinguished panelists at the CIO Academy Asia’s annual flagship summit, ConnectGov Leaders Summit 2021!
Governments and businesses are building resilience into their operations to manage the ongoing disruption caused by Covid-19. Thriving in this dynamic environment requires technology leaders to reset their strategies by the adopting more agile and resilient best practices as they change their focus.
Apart from our very own CITO, this panel featured domain experts like Mr Luis Cruz, SVP, Head of Big Data Infrastructure and Automation in DBS Bank and Mr John King, Executive VP, EMEA from Softserve Inc.
The topic, “Filling the Digital Transformation Skills Gap”, dived into a serious discussion of how organisations are constantly embracing new tech and what they needed do to address the shortage in technical talents and skills.
The panelists also shared their thoughtful insights as leaders from different industries, on the need to train their workforce and plan ahead to deal with upcoming challenges and shortage of relevant talents.
Ms Tan Shui-Min shared with them on the route that NUS and NUS IT embarked on to raise the overall IT knowledge and digital dexterity of every staff, and how such training could enable the workforce to better understand the impact of AI and Data.
The session ended with a key take away from the 3 panelists on what they thought wasthe most important factor in filling the digital transformation skill gap.
