Encryption with SecureDocument

SecureDocument running on Microsoft Active Directory Rights Management Services (AD RMS) is one trusted way to encrypt NUS Confidential data for Windows PC users. It protect documents using RSA 2048 encryption, which is widely used for all major banking and eCommerce sites, secure e-mail, as well as Virtual Private Networks (VPN) systems.

Compared to WinZip, one significant advantage of SecureDocument is that no extra password is required; it makes use of public and private keys stored in servers after you login with your NUS-ID account credentials.

Besides encryption, you can use SecureDocument to restrict document permission, i.e. which recipients can read, edit, forward, or print the content. You can also set document expiration date so that content in document can no longer be viewed after a specified period of time.

SecureDocument runs on Microsoft Active Directory, both sender and recipients are required to login using NUS-ID account credentials. Thus, it is intended for sharing data within NUS Community only.
