The purpose of this Standard is to establish standards for the base configuration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux server equipment that is owned and /or operated by NUS IT. This is applicable to new systems running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Effective implementation of this standard will minimize unauthorized access to National University of Singapore proprietary information and technology.
