Critical vulnerabilities requiring updates on Apple devices (Sep 2023)

What has happened?

Apple has announced two serious critical software vulnerabilities across the iOS, iPadOS, watchOS and MacOS platforms. The vulnerabilities are being actively exploited by cyber attackers and could potentially lead to system compromise and data loss/leakage.

iPad Air 3rd generation and later

iPad 5th generation and later

iPad mini 5th generation and later

Earlier than version 16.6.1
Apple Watch Series 4 and later Earlier than version 9.6.2
Macs running macOS Ventura Earlier than version 13.5.2
What do I need to do?

Apple has released patches for these vulnerabilities. Please update your devices immediately.
