Tecplot 360 is a numerical simulation and data visualization software tool that helps you quickly plot and animate your data exactly the way you want it. Using Tecplot 360, you can analyze complex data, arrange multiple layouts, and communicate your results with professional images and animations. Of all the CFD visualization tools available, Tecplot 360 is easiest to use and offers the most visually powerful output. With Tecplot 360, you can easily analyze and explore complex datasets, arrange multiple XY, 2D and 3D plots, create animations, run mega-million models on your desktop, and inspect results and validate designs.
Tecplot 360 tool’s webpage is at http://www.tecplot.com/Solutions/Products/Tecplot360.aspx.
Tecplot 360 is supported on all HPC cluster login nodes. You can open it on the HPC login node(s) via the Display Manager or using MobaXterm.
The command to open Tecplot 360 interface is “tecplot” from a command line.

When prompt for license, please choose “Network license server” in the pop-up panel and then enter “lion11” in the “License server name” box. After this, clock on OK to launch Tecplot gui.
To visualise your own data in Tecplot 360 in any format of mesh plot, XY plot, contour plot, streamline plot, vector plot, and animations and others, you can save your data according to the data format as stated in the Data Format Guide in the documentation page (http://www.tecplot.com/Support/Documentation.aspx). Examples and FORTRAN code to output the data are provided in the guide too.
