Care a bIT, do our bIT

In 2022, several programmes that promoted the mental and physical well-being of NUS IT staff were organised:

1. CNY celebration

2. A cycling event

3. Deepavali celebration

Rangoli Winners

4. National Day celebration

5. A Deskercise training

6. A stress management talk

7. A health, wellness, and weight management talk

On top of that, NUS IT took part in the Peer Staff Support scheme, which aims to help create a community of peer support and care for colleagues in need. We hope to build a community where all employees feel safe to talk about their concerns and are able to access the help they need safely and confidentially.

There was also a “Tea with CITO” session organised for the new staff joining NUS IT. This quarterly session allows our CITO, Ms Tan Shui-Min to get acquainted with new NUS IT staff. A simple game is hosted to break the ice, and candid sharing was conducted during the event.

Here at NUS IT, success goes beyond achievements and accolades, and it also means doing our bit to better the community and the environment that we are a part of. We have carried out several successful community betterment initiatives over this past year: tree planting around the NUS campus in January,

a blood donation drive in August,

and a beach cleaning outing at East Coast Park in October.

Each initiative sought to provide a meaningful contribution to our community and for all of them, we’ve received resounding support from our NUS IT staff. We’re not done yet, as we still have a charity event “Do your bIT for charITy” that will close in December.
